PS2 keyboard adaptor for APPLE II and II+

 

INTRODUCTION

It is a PS2 keyboard  adaptor for APPLE][ and ][+ system.

If your system doens't have good keyboard or hard to maintain it,

if would be good choice to use your APPLE2 without inconviniences.

It is  morethan just keyboard adaptor and have several useful functions. 

 

 

Macro key

You can assign Function keys to macro key. it would be very useful to make own program of keyin on your APPLE2

it can hold maximum 40 letters for each Function key(F1~F12 except F3)

Assigned macro data will keep even if Powered off.

But, F3 key is recall key, which is hold last line and hold maximum 255 letters and not permanent data stored.

 

Capital and small letter support

Ofcause, your APPLE2 must have small letter fonts on the system.

And Shift + key is always Capital letter.

 

Serial Intput data to APPLE2 as key in

it has a serial input pin and Serial data will redirect to APPLE2 keyboard.

It may use some sort of data tranfer or remote key typing such as even wireless keyboard.

(Speed: 9600bps  TTL Level)

New version of board will be announce soon.

I designed new PCB for less costs and easy make.

It provided the UART connection but, I didn't receive any comments or feedback from user.

I guess that user don't use it.

I removed in this version and it focused only the BASIC and important Keyboard interface role for APPLE ][+.

Board looks better and easy to make it.

The price slight cheaper and It would be good for APPLE ][+ users who doesn't have good Keyboard due to the age.
